Rankwell

Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Rankwell. By creating an account you agree to them.

Last updated 22 September 2026.

What Rankwell does

Rankwell crawls websites and reports what it finds: technical problems, keyword ideas, competitor and domain research, and an estimate of the traffic a site receives from search. It is a tool for analysis. It does not change your website, and it does not promise any result in search rankings.

Your account

  • You need a confirmed email address, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One account is for one person or organisation. Do not share credentials.
  • Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has got into your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time, which removes your audits with it.

Plans and payment

The Free plan covers one website. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves you on the paid plan until the period you have already paid for ends; we do not refund part of a period. Plan limits are counted on our servers and are described on the pricing page. If prices change we will tell you by email before it affects a renewal.

What you may not do

  • Use Rankwell to crawl a site in a way its owner has forbidden, or to get around a site's access controls.
  • Resell Rankwell's output as your own data product, or scrape the service to rebuild it.
  • Attack the service: load it beyond your plan's limits on purpose, probe it for weaknesses, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.
  • Use it for anything unlawful, or to analyse a site in breach of a duty you owe its owner.

We may suspend an account that does these things, and will say why when we do.

What the numbers mean

Rankwell is built on public data, and each source has limits we describe on Where our data comes from. Estimated search traffic in particular is a calculation, not a measurement: search volumes are reported by Google in bands, click rates are averages across many kinds of search, and only a sample of a site's keywords is checked. Treat it as an order of magnitude. Only the owner of a website, reading their own analytics, knows its real visitor numbers.

Decisions you take on the strength of these numbers are yours.

Availability

We try to keep Rankwell running and correct, but we provide it as it is, without warranties. Several of our sources are free public services that rate-limit or go down; when one does, the panel that needs it says so rather than inventing an answer.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Your content and ours

The websites you analyse and the reports produced for you remain yours. Rankwell's software, design and written guides remain ours. You may share and quote a report you have generated.

Ending it

You may stop using Rankwell at any time. We may end an account that breaks these terms, or close the service with reasonable notice, in which case we will refund any period you have paid for but cannot use.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will update the date above and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Rankwell after that means you accept the new terms.
